Fire crews tackle warehouse blaze at Beverstone, near Tetbury

Firefighters were called to a blaze at a pottery distribution company at Beverstone, near Tetbury, on Wednesday.

At 1.28pm, fire service control received a report of a warehouse on fire at Woodlodge Products Ltd, Babdown Airfield.

Crews from Tetbury, Nailsworth and Stroud, totalling 14 firefighters and led by Watch Commander Clarke, were dispatched to the scene of the fire.

Firefighters used one jet, one hose reel and six breathing apparatus in the operation to extinguish the blaze involving 60 wooden pallets stored in the warehouse.

Crews were detained for approximately two hours dealing with the incident and making the scene safe.
